Massage a small amount (coin-sized) into clean, dry skin — legs, arms, and abdomen are ideal absorption sites. Apply after a shower or bath when pores are open for best absorption. Allow to absorb before dressing — approximately 10–15 minutes.
Once daily is recommended for general wellness. Some customers use it twice daily (morning and before bed). There is no evidence that exceeding this delivers additional benefit, and overuse may cause tingling in sensitive individuals.
Not recommended for children under 12 without medical advice. Transdermal magnesium absorption rates in young children are less studied, and the formulation is designed for adult use.
The body butter is formulated for body use. Facial skin is thinner and more reactive — we do not recommend facial use. Dedicated magnesium face products exist for this purpose.
We recommend pregnant customers consult their midwife or GP before use. While topical magnesium is generally considered low-risk, the level of transdermal absorption during pregnancy has not been studied extensively, and we are not able to provide medical clearance.
Customers with kidney disease should consult their doctor before use. Impaired kidneys may not adequately excrete excess magnesium, which can accumulate. Do not advise these customers to use the product without medical guidance.
Direct the customer to the full ingredient list on the product page. Recommend a patch test on a small area of the inner forearm 24 hours before full use. Common sensitising ingredients in body butters include shea butter, fragrance compounds, and preservatives.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the lid tightly closed after each use. Do not freeze. Shelf life is 36 months from manufacture date (printed on the base of the tube).
